If not us, then who?
We are students doing what we can to support the medical professionals on the frontlines of battle in this unprecedented pandemic.
Our ad-hoc volunteer group is a student-run team from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. We support local healthcare workers by offering free childcare, petsitting, and household management services. Our team provides services to healthcare workers — anyone from resident physicians to the remarkable humans who work to keep our hospitals clean.
Our ultimate goal is to help offset the impact of school closures and increasing work hour demands of the healthcare workplace. Together, we will work to overcome this unprecedented situation, one step at a time.
While our board is composed entirely of medical students at Rutgers-NJMS, we are merely one branch of a nationwide movement of health professional students that are rapidly mobilizing to support the healthcare workers fighting this pandemic. We specifically would like to thank one particular team, the medical students at MNcovidsitters.org, for their willingness to help us form this site as well as for inspiring the birth of similar organizations throughout the country.
We are members of a community fighting this pandemic together. Everyone has a role.
